As far as prog metal goes, there is only one album for me. Images and words, dream theatre. That is prog metal done right. I really don't like the vocals in this, they aren't prog metal, but sound like death mixed with some metelcore. I don't mind those kind of vocals, but I don't think they belong in this genre.

This is one of the first times I have ever been speechless over a song, what are your opinions of it?

Its really not close to metalcore its more like progressive black metal, images and words is a really good album. Why don't you think the vocals don't belong? It is progressive metal which all the rules just get thrown out the window :p

Well I looked it up, their lyrical theme is 'life and death' meaning they can't be black. They are 'extreme progressive metal' though..so I guess they have done some prog black metal.

Fascinated by the drummer. Not a big fan of the vocals. Good song though.
