(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); King the company behind Candy crush sega, has decided to trademark the word Candy.

Ye.........
King have stated they wanted to protect their IPs/trademarks from clones not sure what this means. The term is so ubiquitous not sure how it's going to hold up in court.

There's no way that will pass. You can't copyright a word that has been around for centuries.

I wouldn't mind too much if it was a clone, however The Banner Saga has absolutely nothing to do with Candy Crush. They should be able to trademark Candy Crush, but not just the word Candy.

Somebody decided to make a game about Jam in reply.
Also the company was meant to have a game very close to pacman but removed it days after.

Do they think that they invented the word "Candy?" I'm pretty sure "candy" has been around a lot longer then the stupid game. I don't even play that gay game.

Haha nice, but yeah they aren't the original company that did this, so how the hell can they trademark it.

Are you high?
Good luck with that in court, I guarantee this will not pass as the term "candy" has been around for centuries. Nowadays, trademarking gets out of hand.
