The book is based on the events of the 90s Console wars SEGA vs Nintendo.
SEGA during that time (80-90s) was a rather small company compared to Nintendo.

The director is Scott Rudin, written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

And I have no idea how true the book is or the source material. According to a press release, gamers and non gamers should enjoy the book. The book is due for release in May 2014, no word on the release date for the movie.

I would want to see how the movie is, hopefully it's awesome =D.
