(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello all,
I'll start off with a brief mention that I turned 17 yesterday (unfortunately there's no cake...) and I received some driving lessons as a "main present".

Now, today I had my first lesson EVER and I was so anxious and nervous and just had so many thoughts racing through my mind. It was my first time in the drivers seat and after my instructor explained how the car works (which I already knew but I thought I'd be kind and listen just in case I was incorrect about anything) and I set off.

I did great. The only issue was the braking. I didn't press hard enough when I was supposed to, I'd always be gentle because I hate the feeling of whiplash and stuff, but the instructor was fine with that because he said as the lessons progress, I'll "get to know the brakes more better".

Now the point of this thread is I wanted to ask people that currently drive or those that are learning, no matter where in the world you are... What was the easiest part of learning to drive and what was the hardest part of learning to drive? I'm just curious as to how different/similar I am to other learners.

Thank you for any participation, it means a lot.

Keeping a balance between everything is the hardest thing and something which comes with time.
For most people it 3 point turn or reverse parking.

I had a little trouble with mirrors. I was a cocky 13 year-old kid that didn't think I would use the mirrors. I learned the hard way...

Well the easiest part about driving was parking I thought. The hardest part about driving for me was not looking right down at the road, because you're suppose to look out, not down at the road because it causes you to swerve but you wont notice it. Keep in mind that I took drivers ed when I was 15 and I started driving on my Dad's lap and stuff when I was like 13 lol. I'm 21 now.
