US have it because of SA, And don't help that the country is massive and has 100000s of africans etc coming over and the US can't control that as well as the UK can. we live on a little island, surrounded by water. Interesting tho this topic, because its literally just jumped out of no where and made headlines all over.....recently that is!. Same as AIDS. Started from someone from africa?, correct me if I'm wrong tho?.

But what's the exact origins of these diseases? You could speculate all day that some African man ate a monkey's brain and passed on the disease to his fellow villagers and then when they were sold into slavery, it was brought to Eurasia and U.S., but that's not proven nor is it fact. Now, what's next? Spanish flu? Is swine flu or bird flu going to make a reappearance? Last I checked, we don't have cures for those either. It would be wise to restrict emigration from Liberia or any of the infected countries, especially for healthcare workers.

Error… Cat invasion!
Agreed, but with today's technology and doctor's we will find a way/care for Ebola. They only think that it can be transferred to another person through Saliva. Let's hope it doesn't start going through air. Reaper

It's so messed up, I live in South Africa I thought we'd be the first country to get someone that has the disease but no. I'm really just hope they keep it contained so it doesn't spread! so good luck and stay safe Happy

From what I was told my some of my family members(Who work in the medical field),More and more people get infected with HIV and die from it than Ebola.

I found this on the WHO(World Health Organization)
Deaths per week from Ebola in West Africa (as of October 7th): 91
Deaths per week from HIV: 4,795

The only reason people are freaking out is because a small bit is in america. I also found this picture on another website but this chart is from (WHO)
Note:
It's also in thousands Winky Winky
This chart is a little outdated!
