(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey all, are there any music producers on here? And if so, what genres do you produce? How long have you been producing for? What program do you use? Smile

I'm a producer and I mainly make Melbourne Bounce (which is a sub genre of Electrohouse), but I've been trying to experiment with some other stuff for an alias, so I'm trying to make some chilled stuff like Flume or Chet Faker. I've been producing this type of music for like 2 and a half years but I was producing hip hop beats for a while before that. I use FL Studio but I know how to use Ableton, Reason & Garageband Smile

You might be able to get an audio interface to plug it into, which connects to your computer. Then you can apply an amp plugin like guitar rig to make it distorted Smile

Here's my soundcloud Smile You must login or register to view this content.

I'll have to look into that thanks Happy.

I haven't done anything in FL yet that is completed to hear, but I have some song covers on the piano on my YouTube channel... I would do more but I always mess up when I know I'm recording myself lol.
Here's the latest.

I like having the original song, or at least the singing, in the background.
I was gonna make a thread asking a question, but this seems like a good thread to ask it on... (Anyone answer!)
Do you know of, or have, any programs that can take out the singing voice in a song...? Or take out everything else and leave the vocals?
I've tried in in Audacity a few times, but it's not the best...
I would honestly pay for a program too, I want to do a lot of covers, but I just love having the vocals alone a lot.

That cover is nice man Smile

You can try the cancellation method in Audacity or Ableton if you have an acapella or instrumental, but sometimes that won't work.
You can try and look for multitrack stems or an acapella of a song so you can do a cover. If I'm trying to remix something I usually just remove the low end of the track and try and work with that Smile
