I mean not only do you spend ages having to plan the whole event but you spend thousands on a day that people won't really remember apart from the couple getting married. If (I would have said when but that is not always the case) something goes wrong then it is going to cost one or both people involved alot of trouble getting layers involved and solicitors just for a separation unless a prenup was signed beforehand. (this can cause issues because one party might take it as the other one involved does not trust them etc.)
Honestly some of the things that people think about when the term "gay/homosexual" is brought up is actually quite amusing even when looking through the thread you can see what some people think but not every person who is gay is the same as the ones that they think about.
I just find it amusing to say the least.
The idea that two consenting adults, based on homosexuality alone, do not even have the option of economic or social partnership is practically a crime. I couldn't care less about people's opinions of the sanctity, morals, ethics of marriage or the "institution" - I know what is right. But if anyone really wants to say that gay marriage is wrong, it stands how do they reconcile the fact that governments across the Western world rewarded "conventional" marriage and not homosexual marriage when conventional marriage started as human trafficking.
