You know, aside from the slew of economic benefits, why would anyone want that silly piece of paper.

like if your wife/husband is hospitalized, being married allows you to have full visitation rights and end of life care (unless otherwise stated by the hospitalized person)

This is true I for one would not want to get married to much trouble.

I mean not only do you spend ages having to plan the whole event but you spend thousands on a day that people won't really remember apart from the couple getting married. If (I would have said when but that is not always the case) something goes wrong then it is going to cost one or both people involved alot of trouble getting layers involved and solicitors just for a separation unless a prenup was signed beforehand. (this can cause issues because one party might take it as the other one involved does not trust them etc.)

Honestly some of the things that people think about when the term "gay/homosexual" is brought up is actually quite amusing even when looking through the thread you can see what some people think but not every person who is gay is the same as the ones that they think about.

I just find it amusing to say the least.
