I voted for "Real!" even though for him to complete his job of delivering presents to all the houses, he would have to visit one every 0.0005 seconds. Statistically impossible? Maybe, but he's not your average man, you see!

Yeah hes based off of a real person definitely but there is quite a few different story's about him that its hard to find any real information on him. I know in Russia a long time ago instead of his suit being red there his suit is blue.
