It drives me nuts that there's a massive prejudice on a brown kid who made something at home and wanted to show it to his schoolmates, but that white kid with mental health issues? Nah he's fine, no need to be safe than sorry with that one.

That isn't true in the slightest. Something similar to this happened literally three weeks ago in my area except a white guy created something with a Raspi. Every single school within a five mile radius went onto lockdown and cops were called on this white kid. It never made national headlines because it didn't fit the agenda of the race card.

Lets be honest, sure, his race doesn't exactly support his case.

However, this thing can easily be mistaken to look like a bomb to someone who is ignorant in explosives. I really think there is more to this story then we are told. I do not believe that its a case of racism. Him still being punished and the bomb squad apparently not being called as suspicion. The media never tells you the entire story and I'm sure the police aren't saying it either. Guess we will have to wait for this to unfold.

But, this is one of the best things that has ever happened to him, he is 14 and has had major celebrities and genius minds reach out to him, Mark Zuckerberg being one of them, that alone makes me envy him.

In all honesty after seeing the footage the bomb squad released of james homles apartment that was rigged to blow up with chemical and powder explosives i would be trippin out too.

I look at it like this; yes it's unfortunate. But at the same time you have to remember how easy it is to manufacture explosives and how simple they can be. For example an MRE IED. All you need is the heating element, Tabasco sauce, nails, and some water. That alone is enough to severely injure if not kill someone. I think after it was cleared to not be an explosive it should have ended there.

I feel like they profiled him just a little. They could have easily looked at the project and seen it was just a project. I mean seriously..Just because it has wires and a clock it was a bomb..If it was a white guy ( i am white i am not being racist) They wouldn't have even bothered to check into more info.
I see the reason of them looking in to it more but I also...I don't know. It seems like a huge amount of profiling but they also wanted to make sure everyone was safe.

Not gonna lie, it does look like a mother fucking bomb. Muslim, Asia, Scottish, Or just white in general - that thing looks like a bomb, and they took the correct precautions in arresting him.

The teacher saw it was a clock, but the teacher would not be able to defend him, nor want to defend him in the event that it could've been a bomb and could've killed hundreds of children and adults in the school.

The Police took the persuasions that were needed, yes maybe they should have checked the device on the scene instead of taking him into custody - but it does look like a bomb, I would've done the same thing, and I bet had your child been in the same school, you'd have hoped they'd have done the same thing.

People need to stop playing the fucking race card, it's getting pathetic now.

i felt so disgusted and embarrassed by the police's actions .. He's a 14 years old kid for sake. But i'm glad the world heard the story and quickly supported him
