Why is it encouraged and give people so much excitement ?

Yes I watched the two, so they are making a number three ? I used to be scared to watch it when I was younger because of the face the creature had and the slimy stuff but after a while I got used to it and it seem pretty boring to me

No idea. I dont understand a person that wants to be scared like there are other things to be watched other than murder

Is it that we find it entertaining ? Or something in our mind needs the feeling.

Fear interests people. But they don't wanna be in situations where they can be harmed. Scary movies bridge that gap. It allows people to be filled with fear, while at the same time knowing they are completely safe.

Its quite logical that people like to see comedy movies or ones that put them in pleasant moods but why would someone like a scary movie that makes him feel terrified..

I use to hate watching horror movies. I would literally find myself incapable of sleeping at night or doing much of anything because of how terrified I was. Nowadays I can watch horror movies and not be afraid. I reckon it has something to do with predictability of most movies now. What's funny is that my sister is terrified of Child's Play. Whereas I view it almost as if it were a dark comedy. I guess I might be messed up psychologically.

You need to watch them on your own with headphones in the dark with volume set mid/high to feel get scared as a grown person.
