Well, they are risking their lives, which does not make it a sport, but should be recognized. I highly doubt you are sitting in your living room scared to death that when [Boob]sMcgee lines you up with his thermal scope, that if he presses x that your head may blow off, or you lose a limb.

Isn't sitting your GCSEs something like risking your life? Or at least changing it dramatically? We all know if you do s*** in them you'll end up w/ a miserable job that could be the downfall of your life story. It could be the doorway into a life not worth living.
However the point is you said that does not make it a sport, so what does?

lol Stick, that actually wasn't directed at you. I just felt like making an outlandish statement Smile And I was actually taking your side earlier :P

But damn you fusionz. I actually had to google GCSE to figure out what the deuce your were talking about lol.

And to solve the mystery... As stated by dictionary.com

sport
- 1. an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

Yeah, I figured you were just saying some that is way out there and I had to do look up GCSE as well.

I'm guessing you 2 are Yanks?
I'm from England, so yeah that explains the GCSEs. And as far as that thing is concerned, it's not my personal definition of sport I guess. I don't consider fishing or racing a sport, nor do I hunting considering I'm a vegetarian.
More importantly though the Oxford dictionary defines it as something requiring physical exertion, so I think this debate is sorted.

Not even close to a sport. Sports require athleticism, coordination, specific skills, and the mental side of it. Gaming is a hobby which requires no skill what so ever. You play games in a relaxing state and don't use energy to do it. So no.

Gaming definetly requires hand eye Coordination, skills(mental mainly) you are stupid, if there was no skill involved in gaming then everyone would be the same at it. no one would be better then other people. Also staying up from 8 pm to 6 am requires energy.
