Which is better, iOS or Android?

That is the question that we have been asking for years now. With the release of the iPhone 7 coming up soon and the recent release of the Samsung S7, I would like to know, which would you prefer? The Samsung S7 or the iPhone 7?

iPhone 7

The iPhone 7 is rumored to have these:

  • No headphone jack
  • Dual lens camera for iPhone 7 Plus
  • Thinner Design, but similar to iPhone 6s
  • Redesigned antenna bands
  • Upgraded processor
  • Two screen sizes

These are fairly normal upgrades that Apple would make jumping from different models of an iPhone, besides the headphone jack. That is something new that has baffled many people.

According to Newsweek.com, Apple is getting rid of the headphone jack primarily for these reasons:

1. Wrap-around screen

According to a patent, Apple is bringing a whole new design that has never been seen before on any of the other models, a wrap-around screen. With this, there will be no need for the headphone jack.

2. Beats for everyone

Apple recently acquired Beats for $3.2 billion. 8 months later, Beats was priced at $1 billion. Many people were puzzled by their acquisition of Beats. But now, they might not be so puzzled after all with the no headphone jack idea. The no headphone jack could mean that only the Beats headphones can be used for the iPhone 7, which could be a way for Apple to gain some consumers for their company.

3. Better sound for Apple Music

The headphone jack only allows for CD Quality sound and Apple wants to improve that. Apple is already speaking with several headphone manufacturers about finding ways to get better sound quality without the headphone jack.

4. A thinner iPhone

Apple wants to make the iPhone 7 slimmer than before, and the headphone jack really limits them with this. If they were to remove it, they could gain a lot more than they have to lose.

5. Because they feel like it

Apple recently released a device called the Apple Pencil which is being sold for $99 USD. It is a bluetooth pencil that requires charging and is basically the same thing as a stylus. Apple has one of the most loyal fanbases. Their is multiple online petitions to keep the headphone jack, but they can do what they like, and they would still keep most of their consumer base.

Samsung S7

The Samsung S7 has these features:

  • Water Resistance - Up to 30 min in up to 5 feet
  • Expandable Memory simply with a microSD card - Expandable up to 200 GB
  • Dual Pixel Technology - First Smartphone to have this feature
  • Fast Wireless Charging
  • Latest Android Marshmallow OS
  • Samsung Pay - First Mobile Payment where you can tap or swipe your card
  • 12MP rear camera with dual pixel CMOS 5MP front camera

Overall, both of these phones sound amazing and I cannot wait for the iPhone 7 to be released. For the time being, I would like to hear your opinion. Which is better, iPhone 7 or Samsung S7?

Keep it MeLLo
pointless thread is pointless, Thats like asking if the PS5 is good, its not even out yet :|

But if you put it to things, Apples A9 chip in the 6S beats the snapdragon 820 in the S7 in most parts, so the A10 chip will crush it,

No headphone jack, Yeah people will be pissed but over time it will move on just like how they stopped using floppy disk years and years ago and how they took away the CD drive back in 2008 in Macbooks with the Amcbook Air, and say hello to lighting headphones/ USB C headphones.

Dual Cam - Better pics n shit,

Will it be better then S7... yeah S7 came out this month.. iPhone 7 is still 6 months away

I meant based on the features of each :p

Isn't really fair because the full list of the S7 has been provided since it has been released while the iPhone 7 is still months away with only rumors so...

Today Will Be Different
Unfortunately I've been using an iPhone for years. I've also been trapped in a pseudo-monarchy of Apple supremacy my entire life solely because my parents have been using Apple products since 1977. So when I can upgrade I plan on purchasing a Google Nexus phone as it runs Android OS in it's most pure and bloatware free form. But to answer your question I'd more than likely go with the iPhone 7 over the Samsung Galaxy S7. Sure Samsung has a reputable product. But the amount of useless shit they pre-load onto their devices is the sole reason why I avoid them like the plague.
