Which is better, iOS or Android?

That is the question that we have been asking for years now. With the release of the iPhone 7 coming up soon and the recent release of the Samsung S7, I would like to know, which would you prefer? The Samsung S7 or the iPhone 7?

iPhone 7

The iPhone 7 is rumored to have these:

  • No headphone jack
  • Dual lens camera for iPhone 7 Plus
  • Thinner Design, but similar to iPhone 6s
  • Redesigned antenna bands
  • Upgraded processor
  • Two screen sizes

These are fairly normal upgrades that Apple would make jumping from different models of an iPhone, besides the headphone jack. That is something new that has baffled many people.

According to Newsweek.com, Apple is getting rid of the headphone jack primarily for these reasons:

1. Wrap-around screen

According to a patent, Apple is bringing a whole new design that has never been seen before on any of the other models, a wrap-around screen. With this, there will be no need for the headphone jack.

2. Beats for everyone

Apple recently acquired Beats for $3.2 billion. 8 months later, Beats was priced at $1 billion. Many people were puzzled by their acquisition of Beats. But now, they might not be so puzzled after all with the no headphone jack idea. The no headphone jack could mean that only the Beats headphones can be used for the iPhone 7, which could be a way for Apple to gain some consumers for their company.

3. Better sound for Apple Music

The headphone jack only allows for CD Quality sound and Apple wants to improve that. Apple is already speaking with several headphone manufacturers about finding ways to get better sound quality without the headphone jack.

4. A thinner iPhone

Apple wants to make the iPhone 7 slimmer than before, and the headphone jack really limits them with this. If they were to remove it, they could gain a lot more than they have to lose.

5. Because they feel like it

Apple recently released a device called the Apple Pencil which is being sold for $99 USD. It is a bluetooth pencil that requires charging and is basically the same thing as a stylus. Apple has one of the most loyal fanbases. Their is multiple online petitions to keep the headphone jack, but they can do what they like, and they would still keep most of their consumer base.

  • Fast Wireless Charging

  • Samsung Pay - First Mobile Payment where you can tap or swipe your card

Overall, both of these phones sound amazing and I cannot wait for the iPhone 7 to be released. For the time being, I would like to hear your opinion. Which is better, iPhone 7 or Samsung S7?
