(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, I'm from USA myself, I live here and I've been here for over 17 years. So I don't want any replies saying I can't say this, etc.

Anyways, is it just me, or is america getting f***ing stupid? We are in debt, in war, and this earth quake Haiti comes along, and then we start freaking aiding them? WTF. I fill sorry for them and everything, I seriously do. But I think it's bullshit when we are still way fking down in the economy, and we are in war.

America helps to much. The more we help, the more WE get screwed.

It's funny to listen to thirteen year old children rant about politics.

Classified, go back to school, learn what you're talking about, and then you can post on a forum with an educated opinion. Deal?

okay i hate Bush a lot. I learn Civics right now in the 8th grade. It was Bush who PROPOSED to go to war, but CONGRESS VOTED TO GO IN, so it's really not Bush's fault even though he is an asshole. America is hated by a lot of people, but loved by much more. We help out to be loved

How can you say it's anything other that his fault if he was the one who proposed it... Hitler proposed killing off Jews. He didn't actually gas them himself so should we give him the benefit of the doubt? Probably not the best example there but it's the same concept.

As a European I can tell you that you are sorely mistaken with the above comment.

We are facing a depression, but some have it far worse. Look at it as USA is just a big brother country. We help anyone in need. This can be a bad thing at times, but considerate people normally go out their way to help people. That's what USA is now a days.

You can never fully blame anything on the president. The president is NEVER alone in his decisions. Half the time he doesn't even make the decisions himself. There's always someone telling people what to do. The president is just there as a supervisor basically. I wouldn't even consider him the boss. He's just there to take the blame when something is done wrong.

Except Bush.... He deserves what he got. :P

Not true, we don't help everyone in need.

We only help countries that are of political interest. I've studied many years in military training and along comes with that political interest studies. The USA has one true goal, to continue to spread it's influence of democracy and capitalism (though we're a republic, I know...it's a brother of democracy). Though with that, we will always put ourselves as numero uno. We help countries though that have interest in us, and do help us in some way or another. By giving countries aid and protection, we in return receive cheap goods from their country. There are countries in Africa we have no interest in helping, even though they are trying to be democratic and want to overthrow the tyranical government in place, but they have nothing we want so we do little to nothing to help them. If Kuwait didn't have oil, you really think we would have helped them?

I'm not sure what Haiti provides, but it's probably like sugar or something similar. Economics and trade are a big part of capitalism, and it's what keeps this country a superpower (though right now, it's debateable if we're the #1 superpower). With the economics and trade, we keep our government, and therefore the people whom the government exists for and vica verse, in a global position of power. It's a two-edged front. Yes, we are a big brother country. We have the money and the labor forces and technology and labor forces and high education etc etc. We will help out smaller countries, but not to really further them, but to further ourselves by helping improve their country.

And btw, I like to think we have a good president now, who is just underachieving. He has become soft very quickly in some of his former stances, such as saving the enviroment.

Our last president wasn't soft, he was just stupid. Now we seem to have a president that isn't stupid, he's just a bit soft. Hopefully time will progress and change things, like his campaign slogan said it would. Oh, and to all those who said this current presidency made us broke...WRONG! The previous regime did. The current president is just trying this theory on how to fix it. And in theory, it should work in time. It's going to take more then just 1 year though.

One last thing...if you're middle or high school, you really don't have much of a clue yet. There is a reason why the minimun age to vote is 18.

I think right now, it's about 50/50. Most of the people that hate us though, hate everybody. They're called terrorists.

I'm not trying to slate you or nothing here so don't get the wrong idea about things with the following statement. You say that the people who dislike America are terrorist. I'm British and we're on your side, and public opinion hear suggest we don't like you. The French sure as shit don't like you, the Germans don't either. Along the most of the other major forces in EU politics. The we move on too the middle east.... Yeah let's move on again Happy Asia, China are not your best buddies at the minute. I'm not to sure how things are between America and India. Being one of the world's biggest economies with a massive population you best hope they are on your side. I've missed out Russia in the little tour of the world. As always things are tense between Russia and everyone else. It wouldn't be Russia if they weren't trying to be a pain the worlds collective backside. We'll move on too the Aussies, again I'm not sure on the Aussies perception of America. Then we have Africa, you do have a few allies within the continent because of your Aid work which has been mentioned earlier in the thread. You still however have some enemies here. Moving on to South America. This is pretty similar to Africa. You have enemies here but you also have a fair few allies. The thing is will the let you give them stuff they kick your arse with it in a war a few years later... sound familiar? It's probably a little silly to be judging places by the continent because every country is different but it's the best way to keep this under 10000 words. I'll leave North America out as you pretty much have that one wrapped up. All in all I think I have proved the point that it's more than 50/50 against America. As I said earlier in the post I'm not trying to have a dig at you or anything. I enjoyed your earlier post as well. It's nice to read something from someone who knows what they're talking about on here.
