I'm not trying to slate you or nothing here so don't get the wrong idea about things with the following statement. You say that the people who dislike America are terrorist. I'm British and we're on your side, and public opinion hear suggest we don't like you. The French sure as shit don't like you, the Germans don't either. Along the most of the other major forces in EU politics. The we move on too the middle east.... Yeah let's move on again

Asia, China are not your best buddies at the minute. I'm not to sure how things are between America and India. Being one of the world's biggest economies with a massive population you best hope they are on your side. I've missed out Russia in the little tour of the world. As always things are tense between Russia and everyone else. It wouldn't be Russia if they weren't trying to be a pain the worlds collective backside. We'll move on too the Aussies, again I'm not sure on the Aussies perception of America. Then we have Africa, you do have a few allies within the continent because of your Aid work which has been mentioned earlier in the thread. You still however have some enemies here. Moving on to South America. This is pretty similar to Africa. You have enemies here but you also have a fair few allies. The thing is will the let you give them stuff they kick your arse with it in a war a few years later... sound familiar? It's probably a little silly to be judging places by the continent because every country is different but it's the best way to keep this under 10000 words. I'll leave North America out as you pretty much have that one wrapped up. All in all I think I have proved the point that it's more than 50/50 against America. As I said earlier in the post I'm not trying to have a dig at you or anything. I enjoyed your earlier post as well. It's nice to read something from someone who knows what they're talking about on here.
Yeh, when I say 50/50 I meant more along the lines as allies, not really "friends". To be honest, I'm not to fond of the English or the UK, but that's because I have ancesteral ties to Ireland and with the things that have happened in the past, and still echo today, I have a bit of a personal issue with it. That aside, I still recognize the UK, as well as France Germany Russia as allies because that's what they are in one sense or another. Each nation has it's own goals. In Europe, they have more and more been about the continent of Europe and it's countries with the EU. Still, those countries and this one have something in common politically, and we'll help each other out in a means to progress our own national agendas. In general, the hate and dislike between the allies is a cutural thing, and trust me, I respect the cultural dislike of the french and english more then I do most americans simply because most of america is a mindless mass that's only interested in shopping malls, SUV's, making everything baby-proof, HDTV, and sports. With that, you have to realize that even though that is a large part of America, they do not represent the vast amount of people that actually do care about the world problems, world relations. I'm not saying we're a majority, but it's by far anything of a small minority. In ways, I see America starting to wake up. Wait another 20 years as the young generation that is coming of age into positions of power and influence (people in their 20's) to get their agenda's for the country to influence the government. I still believe we have an influence because I see it on local levels in quite a few cities. For example, the city of Philadelphia for the past couple of decades has been a home of a lot of violence amongst the people, and corruption in many levels of government and law enforcement. It was truely in a sad state of affairs that left the city in huge debt. They have been taking strides the past 4 years or so to reverse the affects. What is causing this? Philadelphia the past 4 years or so has had a major influx of young people, educated people, that want to make their community better, and in the long run, their country better, and not just to fill their wallets, but to show that they want to become a shining of example of what is still good in this world.
So I don't take offense to your comments, because they are true. Still, I like to believe that on many levels people still respect us and see that we are trying to change. The last president really screwed us up, and the president before us though a good one, let some things slide and paved way for the previous one to really screw things up. I just hope that this president can harden up and face the challenges of re-establishing this country as a more respectable and still powerful nation.
As I said, there is a difference between hate from enemies, and dislike from allies. Hell, the Japanese make fun of us at almost every turn, but they highly respect us because in exchange for their work efforts of technology and such, we give them protection and financial backing. In turn, their technology and profits comes to us to use to become better in many levels of society to help us do more. Of course, our financial situation is not the greatest, but as a nation, slowly we are waking up. Things will change. It won't happen overnight, or even in a year. This will take several years. The change will be slow, and sometimes painful. Still, it will be worth it.

Where is "here"? The USA itself? Even in one of the worst recessions in US history, the government still manages to provide the infrastructure with petro products, maintain the power grid, and provide a national defense with it's military. I'm not too favorable of the federal government, and I will speak out against it. However, to say they don't help it's own citizens is stupid, because it's a mutual relationship. The government exists because the people will it to exist, and the people exist because the government does what it has to do so that they may exist in they way of their choosing. Obviously, we all can't live the same way in a open capitalism country. There is still a class system in the USA, but unlike A LOT of other countries, people move in and out of those classes every generation. It's some crazy percentage too of people moving up and down. Say you had to divide the country up into 10 levels...1 being living in poverty (american poverty), 10 being say...just throwing a number out here 50million+ networth. 2 would be the middle lower class, 3 upper lower class, 4 lower middle class, true middle class, 6 upper middle class, 7 lower upper class, 8 upper class, 9 high upper class, 10 elite. the percentage of people moving out of the lower classes to the middle class from one generation to the next is roughly 40%. That's huge! From middle to upper is I think a shy over 20%. And the reverse is also true. people move down classes at roughly the same rates, it varies, but it pretty much evens out from generation to generation. This is really the only country in the world that this happens.
In short, you want help in this country? Ask the person in the mirror to work for it.
