This was awhile ago but I just got a little early Christmas present in the mail from the police.
So, I received a nice 190$ ticket from the police this morning and I'm planning on brining the pigs to court.

This was awhile ago but here's the story :
I was chilling in the subway/ metro with people and was waiting for Thomas the train to pull up..
Two police officers and two subway police ***goats were already in the station with their flashlights out searching under the train between the train cars.
(I'm still not sure why they'd check there.. Was someone reported hanging out there? I dunno. )
When Thomas the Train showed up, it was full.
So, I decide to wait with the people I was with until the Thomas the train v2 was going to show up...
So, me being me.. I had bought a knife online awhile back and have been carrying it with me basically every day.
And I barely do this but what I had done was put the clip of the knife on the opening of my pants pocket.
So, after that the 2 police fuqs and 2 subway police fuqs (once Thomas the train left) were all together talking and one of them noticed the clip sticking out..
So, him being the little fuqer that he is.. Quickly walked towards me and moved one of my friends out of the way to get to me..
He shoved his hand all up in my right pocket not knowing if like I had a needle full of maple syrup ready to stab his hand and drug him up or whatever and he just grabbed my knife and pulled it right out.. And then no one was really talking at that point.. But the cop that raped my pocket looked up to my face and I just gave him a "what the actual fuck?" look.. And he gave me an odd smile before telling me to follow him and at that point I was escorted away from the rest of the crowd waiting for Thomas the train v2 and they blocked the way.. He asked me for my ID which he got and seen that I was 17 years old on my medical card and was like "Oh, so you're 17 huh?" And then he started searching me telling me to always look the opposite way that he was searching and at this point I was just being touched and searched.. He checked in my hat, my belt area, my shoes, my jacket, my hoodie, patted me down.. etc. And obviously he found nothing because I didn't have anything to hide.. (But for the moose and the maple syrup that was hidden in my short hair) and then he moved on to checking my roots bag after having me sit on the ground against the wall for him.. (Found nothing other than stuff that were purchased at stores I went to with the people) He got my mom's phone number and everything.. While the other cop called it in to run my name and then they confirmed together that I had given the cop that searched me the right information. Afterwards, they let me go and I just headed home. The cop ended up calling my mom's phone number as I was helping her out in the kitchen and she was telling him that she was going to bring his ass to court for going up in my pocket like that and searching me..
Me being the dumb ass that I am.. Was thinking that it would all be cool now because my badass mother was telling him this and that over the phone.. And usually I would've gotten the ticket within two weeks if anything but I was assuming that he wasn't going to send anything anymore because first off.. When my mom asked for his name and all that, he wouldn't give it to her saying "it will all be together with the ticket" (I can't confirm that yet because my mom didn't let me have a good look at the ticket yet).. And yea.. I got a 190$ ticket from the police for having carrying a knife that I had on me for protection because it's not always safe and I usually travel alone and mostly at night time either to just go for a lonely quiet walk or to go somewhere.. (Tbh I thought that I was kinda cool with the knife, all gold colored and whatnot 8-) but I wasn't just pulling it out in public places or anything)

So, with you having read that.. That is if you even read it all..
Can any of you direct message me tips or whatever for when I bring the pigs to court?

Edit : I get that like it was for safety precautions or whatever but it's not like everyone has 190$ fkn dollars to just give like that over having a knife for protection.. Which is why I'm bringing it to court or whatever.
The cop should've just stuck with taking the knife away and I would've been cool with just that.. Even though it cost me a bit and I got it off of Amazon or eBay.

Unlucky mate, real bummer make sure to point out that the knife wasn't in plain view (if there's no CCTV), nor has it ever been used.

Not sure what the laws in Canada are but in the UK, if the officer doesn't show a badge, tell you his name, and tell you the reason for searching you (even if you're swinging a machete around); then they have no legal standing in court.

Have a look on your gov (or whatever) website, could even ask at your local station just say it's hypothetical question regarding one of your friends that you believe has been unlawfully searched, I've asked many of times about random stuff.

And I live in Canada (Montreal City) but I will check with a police station and on Canada's gov website to try and see what I can find.

They didn't tell me their name or police station.
They obviously didn't tell me what they expected to find because the fuqer already found it by raping my pocket.
All he really told me was that I was being detained or whatever and then the searching started.

Definitely have a look on GOV website, also could have a look for legal advice, there should be a few organisations around that offer it for free

If your laws are anything like mine, you'll lose. Police have a right to search you if they reasonably suspect you're carrying a weapon. The court won't care about your reasons for carrying it and technically the officer hasn't done anything wrong, even though he was a smug douche about it.

I think proceeding is pointless. If you're having trouble paying it, ask for a payment plan so that you can pay it gradually. All government agencies provide this if you ask.

You're entitled to information. I don't see it changing anything though. Even if you were to take it to court, courts protect police. I'm retired now but I used to advocate for at-risk youth who were caught up in dealings with the law and I've seen courts side with abusive and aggressive officers. Many who were already under clouds of serious misconduct. It's one of the sad realities of our justice system.
