That's the role you take on as being a parent, your childrens beliefs reflect on your own. If you're against homosexual individuals and preach it to your kids, then they're more then likely to be the same way. If you're uncomfortable around homosexuals, you can very well pass those same feelings onto your offspring.
Child: Dad, why are those two men kissing?
Dad: Just like a man and a woman loving eachother, two men and two women can do the same thing.
It's not very hard to explain stuff like this to your children, as long as you don't try to shelter them from stuff like this and get them to keep an open mind, you've succeeded as a parent.
