Post: Does school detention do any good in high schools?

If the kid gets angry because he got in trouble, maybe the kid should learn to take some responsibility for the shit they do and grow the fuck up.

meh for me detention was just a waste of time. and it isnt really a punishment to stay behind after school for an hr or miss out on lunch. the teachers knew this so rarely handed them out, if they did it was mostly to the younger lower years to try get them behaved before they became seniors.

I got suspended for getting caught skipping, I ended up skipping over 90 days that year, after getting suspended I continued skipping. I failed the grade and dropped out. So, didn't teach me much

I was a reasonably good kid in high school...Though I was the first the kid to get detention (3 days in) because I got lost finding my way to class so I was late, and I got detention. Only other times I got detention was for being late with few assignments. I thought it was fucking ridiculous because it wasn't to finish the assignment or anything, it was to spend the entire lunch break writing out the rules and conduct sheet.

that teacher that gave u detention for forgetting your way to class on your 3rd day to school sounds like a fucking ass tbh,would hate those teachers that get power hungry
