(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've just set up my HD PVR which arrived in the post earlier today, and the quality on my TV (haven't attempted to press record on EyeTv yet) was awful. It went sepia and there was a loud buzzing noises, any advice for this? Also, if it helps, nearly all of the lights on the PVR were alight, i believe they were green, purple and red... or something along the lines of that.

Would really appreciate any advice with this. Smile

My TV won't allow me to select 720p. It remains black for 30 seconds then returns to the original screen.

Are you sure you need composite cables? Where do they go?

you need the red, blue and green cables... they should come from the back of the PS3 and into the PVR. Then another set of RGB cables from the PVR into the back of the TV.

Yeah that's what i have, it's looking like it's a problem with the machine.

I'll give it another go tomorrow as it's bank holiday, and if it still isn't working i'll send them an email or ring them.

I'm not sure what the problem is. It should be working just fine. You just don't want to check the last resolution option or it won't show up. Everything else should work.

But it won't allow me to select any of the other resolutions. It doesn't show up with them.

sorry, in the playstation settings... you need to select all but the last one. Make sure you're choosing the right cable connection too

What do you mean by that last line?

And it only works if I select 1080p...

I recently purchased a Hauppague HD PVR 1212 to record my ps3 gaming. I set it all up, following several different guides on youtube. I know I have all of the wires set up. I then installed all of the programs, and now when I open up 'Record' I get an error that says, "The device is not available, or being used by another application. Please close any applications that may be using the device and try again." I have tried to reinstall the software, restart my computer, all of that, I just can't find a solution. If someone could help asap that would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.
