Well it's a style, and the neck is blended. I used filters (displace) in this sig (can't see them too well though)

Also, I specifically cleaned the guy's face, so I don't know why it should look lq Happy

Ok. Not the guy.
What is the stuff around him? Random C4D's? Because it doesn't look clean.
AS I stated before, when you blur and lower the opacity, it greatly lowers the quality, thus creating a sense of depth, but if you blur and object and lower opacity while it is in front of the render/stock/guy, it creates a low quality look to it. Right now it looks like muddy/scratchy feel to it.

Again, just my thoughts, you don't have to agree with me, I'd just like you to actually read my post with an open mind on where I'm coming from and not take anything personal. It only can make you better anyway Smile

And the stuff around the guy, it's smudging, brushing, clipping masks, distortions, c4ds, more brushing Smile

and it's supposed to look all messy Happy

Looks cool , the only things you could still do is : make the lordafi text a bit bigger and make it a bit more "entertaining" and add a bit off depth.

What Matt said is right he went a lot more in depth than I will but especially on the right side the blurring etc. looks really LQ. The effects and everything is awesome, just the way you combined them and the distortions looks LQ. Still pretty good.
