Post: How to record your Xbox 360/Ps3 without a capture card

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This will tell you how to record your PS3 or Xbox 360 footage. All you need is:

A Television
A PS3 or Xbox 360
A Recordable DVD Player
Good editing software

If you haven't got a recordable DVD player, go and buy one. They are cheaper than Dazzel or TV wonder capture cards.

First off. Plug your console's avi cables into the DVD player (Input 2)

Then, Connect your DVD player to the TV. After that, insert a blank, empty, recordable disc and then turn on your console.

If you have connected it correctly, your console should appear on your TV.

When you have reached the point of the game in which you wish to record, press record on the DVD player or remote. Then press it again to stop recording. If you do something wrong, dont worry, you can edit it later.

Once you have all the footage you need, take out the disc and put it into your PC.
(You don't need to finalize it.)

Open Sony Vegas (or what ever software you have) and select "Import Media". Search for the disc and select the media file within it.

There you go

-(I got this off an old Forum i used to go on and changed it a little)

cheers mate, first off, i can connect my xbox to my dvd player/recorder n thats all good. But then i can't connect my DVD player to my tv, i dont think i have the correct wires to do it. Do i need two way ld cables? (red, yellow, white) or can i use something else. I have one hdmi cable too but i doubt i can record hdmi from low quality... thanks in advance

there is a better way to hook it up because that way can cause some gameplay lag. the best way is: PS3/xbox => TV => use the TV output to go into the DVD player

this eliminates the lag caused by the recording. but nice post Smile
