(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I couldn't find the graphics section so I'll post it here. I'm trying to make something that looks like the digital powers in Infamous second sun, but after a whole day fucking around in photoshop I still can't do the digital power-like design. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I checked google already, I haven't found jackshit.

Also do you think a distortion effect on black matte would look good?

After you make it using that tutorial, go to Filter -> Stylize -> Wind. And then In the options at the bottom select "Stagger."

You must login or register to view this content.
This will give you more of a distorted look. Before doing this I would duplicate your holographic image layer,THEN add the wind effect. Then place your original image layer on top of the distorted one and erase parts of the original one so it has a mixture of both.

You can also try using the other two methods, "wind" and "blast" instead of stagger. Experiment with them all until you find one you like more.

And yes I think that that effect would look good on a black matte.

I'm having trouble with the pattern, you know the one they tell you to make a 1px * 10px and fill half the top with black? Well when they layer mask it, it works perfects but mine just... adds color to it.

When you add your layer mask and are ready to fill it with the paint bucket, look at the top at the settings where it says "Foreground."
You must login or register to view this content.

Click foreground and there should be an option that says "Pattern" in the drop down menu. Click that and you should be able to click your pattern right beside it. and then click to fill the selection and it should fill it with a pattern instead of a color now. Smile
