(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, so I am currently in the market to buy a tablet. However I know near to nothing about what to look for in a tablet and since this community know's a lot about current tech hopefully you guys can help me out Gasp. I'm looking to spend ~300 or less and looking for Android. Please don't use this thread to bash against any OS or brand since I will report your posts to a mod.

Thanks in advance,
Sterg ^^

Well ..

  • Doing School work on a Android really kinda renders it useless and you might wanna look into a Laptop for that type of stuff. (Possibly a NetBook or something along those lines)
  • For Video recording, it kinda is a "whore" on battery when taking videos, and you'll be looking into a higher price for a good quality camera. As i do recall you do have an iPhone, use that, and spend money on a Juice Pack case (i.e. Mophie)

And you mention "Lot's of Web Browsing" this kinda links up with 1 question, and a suggestion.

1. Are you going to be near Wi-Fi or no?
Suggestion: NetBooks are great for doing Web Browsing and School work.

Yeah I'll be near wifi since my school has it, and I will never buy a netbook their horrible so if the worst happens I'll probably buy a laptop.

Well your kinda ramming yourself into a corner.

NetBooks aren't terrible, if you do research you can find the one you need, and that'll fit your life style like this one - You must login or register to view this content.

Cheap, but has plenty of performance to blow you away. As well with it's 8 hour battery life.

I understand what you're trying to say but I don't want a netbook. If I did I would have posted a different thread. :p I just want to know what the best tablets are currently.

Worth the Weight
I know the feeling. Every netbook I get my hands on I just wan't to smash in an instant. They are painfully slow and are expensive for what you get.

The Eee Pad Transformer is a great tablet, but it's over your price range. The reason I bring this up is that it has a docking station with a keyboard that extends it's battery to like 15 hours.

But then again: the Kindle Fire is a great tablet as well. You might want to look into that.

Honestly the Kindle Fire right now seems like your best shot unless the Eee pad appeals to you (Refurbished ones are about $300)

Ugh the Kindle fire doesn't have a webcam so you wouldn't be able to record. Another thing is if you root it, it basically becomes an android tablet
