Hey man,

You don't install CFG through Multiman. You can get infected for it to work while on the game. For the infection, you actually need someone too host it for you. People on NGU sometimes host these and can be found here: You must login or register to view this content.

All's you need is the cfg file on your usb, it should be called buttons_default.cfg right? :p Then you get the infection, go to split screen and start, then press select (its normally select but people how different ones) then up to usually open the cfg menu

If you have a cfw ps3 then edit the patch_mp.ff and add a bind to your patch to host your infection and then you can use cfg freely, but you may need to remap our to buttons tactical so that you can use the default cfg mods (would be easier to use)
