Maybe you should check the call of duty 4 modding section. Also why edit it? (To add your name it it obviously.) Because if you don't know how to open a patch then you surely do not know GSC.

Dude, fuck off, he's asking a question. I suppose you were fucking born with knowledge on how to code GSC? He needs to edit and figure out himself, if he begins to edit shit, he will see how to code in GSC. Who cares if it is to add his name? Is it hurting you that he edits a patch? No! Um, since everybody is just gonna bitch and whine about you asking a simple question, I will help you out.
First find yourself a nice COD4 PS3 .FF editor, and open the patch up in that. Then Go to whatever you want to edit it, and edit it, simple. But if you need help or anything, google is your bestfriend.
Ps. If you need some tools PM I will hook you up with some tools :y:
Pps. If you edit a patch, don't release it on here, just keep it to yourself or else all these people will just bitch about it. :y:

How do you think he will learn to code GSC if he doesn't get some experience from editing? So what if he edits someone's work, as long as he doesn't release it, it doesn't matter.

You're a fucking idiot, do you code .GSC? If so, how did you learn? did you just get a clean patch and create a modded .ff? or did you edit a few things to see what your working with?? So let this kid corey help the person that would like to learn GSC, and how do you know he's gonna put his name in it? Does it say it in the thread?
