When you do GFX all the GFXers tend to stick together and cnc one another so we can help eachother out.
I will offer up any advice I have when it comes to GFX wether there's a +cK in front of my name or not.

several posts on this thread have been aimed at non graphics artists:

"I'm only pointing this out because it seems that everyone you made sigs for can't seem to hop off your dick and think you're a guru.
And if you're lied to you will never make the necessary adjustments to be that much better."

"yeah, you like simplicity, but there are better sigs in this competition atm, but by the look of it, every non-gfx user on this site is riding your cock."

"gfx users don't like it, because we understand when some puts real effort into their sig."

If a sig doesn't take effort and still looks good, then good for them, if it takes effort and looks good, then good for them too.
Effort doesn't account for how good the sig is. A highly skilled GFX'er would take little effort compared to a non skilled one, does that mean the non skilled one putting in a lot of effort is better??

"Also have to agree with ryan a better looking signature that took longer to make should get more thanks but that has been for years here on ngu. people always vote on the less pro looking signature."

"The true artists never get vote on , well ones in a while a good artist wins"

According to this quote above, most of the winners don't deserve to win. Because they aren't a true artist??

Some interesting quotes there from both +cK people and Ryan.

apparently we are "riding his cock" because we like groms work, how isn't this putting us below you?? we arent allowed to like something without being a dickrider

Frog
Gotta risk it for the biscuit
I'm not that big into GFX but when i see something I like then I'll commend it. But I mean after reading this thread you GFX'ers are (excuss my language) just a bunch of little bitches  it's all "His sig doesn't have enough color" "he is better" "he has more experience" its like really? You're really gonna complain that someone doesn't do what YOUR personal preference is? It's really pathetic in my opinion and really shows how bad the GFX community here is... As for all of you attacking Groms, thats really unnecessary.. I just think you all feel threatened to a degree because this good "artist" comes out of no where and makes you stuff look like shit. Thats just my perspective though.. \_:confused:_/

I'm not even allowed to argue my case because fox is being a fag and deleting my posts.. :FU: but im gonna try here:

Never did i say Groms doesn't have talent,
I said that other users seem to put more effort into their sigs and don't get nearly the recognition he gets,
yes i did say users are riding his cock, because they appear to be.

Now everyone stop getting butt hurt.

wow, has essentially no aspects of a successful sig, flow completely fails, seeing as although the motion blur and render compliment each other, stars kinda wreck it, and also make tag look so cheap. Lighting is just random brush placement, completely misplaced(too big, and obvious soft brush), and isn't reflected by render/sig at all, fractal is just derped in there, text is badly placed ( go by rule of thirds unless you're sure of placing elsewhere/ failsafe), way too monotone/no contrast, and lastly, is way too simple to outshine any of the others.... render, gaussian blurred tree, fractal, bad stars(distract from focal), bad lighting, bad text.

^ complete misjudgment obviously :pirate:

not flaming the artist, just stating what needs to improve, to make the sig, worthy of the statement.

btw, b4 some f4g comes in and says my work is sht, blahdeblahdeblah, doesn't mean i can't give out criticism. newai, seeing all the praise, maybe this will actually halp.

Not sure if you noticed, but I didn't mention anything about the particular signature in this thread. On the other hand, I do believe it is a clear winner and welcome change from the loud and over crowded signatures of late.
