Go Steelers!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Is there any possible way to do this? I know I myself couldn't do it but I am curious to see if anyone has, or can put Minecraft on a PS3 for emulation, like through a homebrew or something...It'd obviously have to be a jailbreak thing but I am wondering cause that'd be cool cause I can not always use my computer, (parents are split up).

Thanks for any replies guys.

lol, its really funny, :n00b: some people should do some research before making some absurd claims. BTW, what exactly do you class a "low-end" pc graphics card?

Trust me i have done my research. To be honest I probably should not have said a low-end graphics card (my bad there), I should have said mid-range. And I would consider a low end a Geforce 8400 and I would consider a mid-range a Geforce GTS 450.

Fair enough, :P, You do know that the Processor you mentioned about the ps3 is not the ps3s processor? its essentially a processor.. for managing its 7 other 3.2ghz SPEs ? i think that beats a single duel, even quad 2.0ghz, dont you?

Well if your talking about just a Cell processor (without video card) vs a dual/quad processor (without video card) then yes I would go with the Cell processor. But when it comes down to gaming, which obviously is graphics heavy then I would go with the dual/quad processor (with graphics card) rather than a cell processor (with graphics cards).

Also as far as I know only the main core on the cell processor is clocked at 3.2ghz. The other 6 cores (1 core is deactivated or as Sony says reserved for the other OS feature) are clocked at about 1.5ghz. The SPEs can only handle one type of code at a time though. So for example, one core might candle audio while the other mite handle AI ect. But one core cant handle more than one, which is why I would go with a dual/quad processor because all the cores can handle anything you throw at them.

But the graphics card even has its own GPUs, so it wont need to rely on its processors anyway?

Just remake it for ps3! C++, OpenGL ES, and the ps3 SDK. Or psl1ght

Thats true but the graphics card isn't that strong in the PS3. The PS3's graphics is pretty much equivalent to a Geforce 7800GTX. The 7800 is pretty below today's PC standards.
