(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I cant buy MW3 for my Xbox or PS3 when it comes out because Im at Uni and cant play online so it would be useless.

So I was thinking of buying it on PC. I've never really played any online games on my laptop before.

I want to know if I'll probably (does anyone actually know the exact requirements yet?) be able to run it or not, and what kind of speed internet I'll need to play online? Basically im on a shared network but so far its been quite fast, faster than back home anyway... Its only like 1mb download speed though.

Specs of my laptop:

Processor: Core i7 2630QM @ 2.00GHz
RAM: 4GB
64-bit Operating System
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 525M @ 2.7GB

Also I bought a USB connector thing so I can use my wireless Xbox controller, is this the best way to play properly.

Cheers,

4gb is fine, but I went for 8 and i'm extremely happy. 8gb was the same price as 4 Smile

Crysis only requires 1 GB for minimum and 2 GB for recommended.

Wow, forgot I made this thread.

Thanks for the replies, but I hit a new stumbling block the other day (right after I go and buy 2 new games) - my university seems to have blocked the required ports to play online... bastards. I was desperately trying to sign into Crysis 2 for days but I think that must be it... Gutted, cant buy MW3.

Crawl to your cross
If you use the controller, it will be like you are playing a really bad port. You should try use a mouse it gets really easy after a while you'll notice its easier to get use to that a pad.

Have to agree, plus you learn to be more accurate with a mouse than a controller or game pad.

It's more person to person. Majority will find mouse superior but there'll always be people better with a controller

oh mi gawd.

honestly, don't believe these people that do not know anything about pc's.
yes you should be fine. A good 30-40 FPS on mw2/mw3.

Gaming builds don't even need that much, i've seen good builds with i3's.
Honestly most people don't spend much more than $200 max on video cards.
I have a friend, with i5, and no onboard gfx, and it runs mw2 perfectly fine.

so enjoy dude, it should be great!

If you had 8gb you still wouldnt be able to use all of that up, you'll be wasting some.
i7 is the best processor out right now

nah, im an intel guy but I have to say the best processor right now is amd bulldozer

8 physical cores, 22 logical cores, and it's all at 5.0+Ghz (yeah not joking)

True, as I have never fully had the ability to play PC games I've done better on a controller but when I do get to play using a mouse I tend to notice I am a lot more accurate.

Time and practice is all.
