Anybody who thinks the amount of RAM is what matters doesn't understand the point of RAM.

Usually when you have RAM of 2.0GB above the computer specs are higher than a computer with 1.0GB RAM.

It depends on the Graphics Card, most general laptops have intergrated cards which are good enough for games like, Runescape Awesome face All the RAM is, so it can cope with more processes at a time.

negative ghost rider....maybe for minecraft <3 but u would struggle with other games at lowest settings. Look into Asus or dare I say Alienware but they to pricey and you get less out of them

You can play games on your laptop but it will be a bit laggy for more in-depth games such as Call of Duty, and other games in that form. Games like World of Warcraft and Rift will run okay but may I propose a rather cheap solution and can fill your needs of gaming. I actually used a XPS 17' in my early days of gaming but they have come a long way.
