Right now I only have about $450 to spend and I want to get either another EVGA GTX 680+ 4GB or install a custom water loop. I understand the graphics card might be more sensible but I have never done my own custom water cooling and I think it would be a great learning experience. So I can either save up $530 and get another GTX 680 or I can build a custom water loop for around $350 that will cool my CPU and current GPU (EVGA GTX 680+ 4GB). BTW I game on 3 monitors in surround and that is why I want another GTX 680.
depends on what you want why don't you just save it up. get other stuff? or just put it away and save up for stuff like a car. or save it up and spend it on a girl. here if u need it You must login or register to view this content. plus your coolants.
I'm glad I went with the water loop. Everything turned out great with no leaks. I overclocked the shit out of my CPU and GPU too. Got my 3770k to 4.8Ghz 1.39 Vcore and I stress tested it in prime95. The temps never got above 75 degrees. And I got my GTX 680's clock offset to 250mhz and the memory clock offset up to 550mhz. Now my 680 never gets hotter than 60 degrees while stressing it with AIDA64.
