Ok With the 8-9 laptops I have had.. Honestly You'll have some trouble with gaming. I like desktops for gaming and have always gone that way. I do see it has a nice intel core processor. However the graphics might get you running games like maple story at 60fps. However you might find your gpu struggling on games like World of Warcraft or even games like the First assassins Creed. 600$ Seems a little overpriced but you're getting a good processor.

If i was you I would invest in a cheaper alternative laptop and a gaming rig desktop for some games. I mean if you want to also you could get a decent laptop and save for parts for a desktop while your laptop is getting by.

Really if you want to get a nice Gaming rig you can go for a 500$ Desktop Pc and be able to run Skyrim.

If you just want to play games then for the love of god just get Desktop or better yet build your own to save some money!

The 710M in the Asus you're looking at is terrible, my Laptop I got over 2 years ago has a better GPU than that (Radeon HD 6490M) and even that was lacking to play most of the latest games without reducing the screen res. or plummeting most of the settings to low! And that cost me over £1000!

Moral of the story: If you want to play the latest and upcoming games at high frame-rates and on nice high settings... research parts and build your own rig, even more-so for the satisfaction.
