Err... more problems than I care to list. What's your overall budget, what peripherals do you need and what will you be using it for?

Alright, as Clutch said himself. There are quite a bit of problems for a lack of a better word. I'll take your budget into consideration and I'll build you a nice rig with ample ram and less problems. :p

You don't need much RAM just for gaming.
I let these guys who know far more compared to me build up a part list Smile

So I'm back and here is a part list that I've made. It comes in at $1442.89 without any peripherals, and I know you made a point about wanting them. But you can always buy them later on down the road. And I didn't include a soundcard because that's something you can also purchase at a later date. So without further ado here it is.

You must login or register to view this content.

I used some similar parts that you had, and removed unneeded parts and changed a few things. And you still have a good amount of ram. I'm sure Clutch will come back with a far better build, but ultimately its up to you on what you want and if you can afford it. :p

Just saying, now; you only need about 8gb of ram to stay safe. 4 is the minimum to use and with a lot of games still, you don't even use it all up.

My laptop is a gaming laptop:

12gb of DDR3 Ram,
GTX 660m DDR5 2GB

Just with those who, I run basically any game I have thrown at it at ultra. Tried Battlefield 3 on Ultra the other day and didn't notice a difference between High and Ultra, it played extremely smooth for my taste.

You need to determine if you want an AMD build or an Intel build. AMD is going to cost a bit less, and keep in mind, the next generation of games is being designed with AMD in mind. Nearly all gamers I know build AMD builds, however, the Intel i7 would future proof you for the next generation of game.

i5 does not cut it anymore like I have been saying all this time.
