Announced by Robert Bowling on his Twitter, there will be a Double XP Weekend, April 2nd - 5th, XBL only it seems. In the words of Carling, 'let the PSN shit storm begin'. Just proves Microsoft's pocket is very deep indeed. Cheers to NP Carling for the heads up.

EDIT: PS3 is now confirmed to have its double XP weekend aswell.

WOW! This is utter bull shit. I own a PS3 and don't really care for the double XP (nor do I chose it over XBOX). But isn't it just wrong how IW is selling their anuses to Microsoft over and over again and practically giving the finger to Sony. Soooooo wrong......

God of war 3, Heavy Rain, MAG, Modnation Racers, Gran Turismo 5, Plyastation move, Socom 4 these are some of the exclusives for ps3 this year, xbox 360 err. err. err. err. Is there any? What im trying to say is microsoft/xbox dont really have anything interesting or exciting coming out this year (my opinion + havnt seen anything) they needed to do something so they looked at all the cod fan boys on xbox and payed money to get dlc 30 days early. WOW xbox you really went this low and it still gona be on ps3. I hope you have got my point by now.
When the dlc is released on ps3 im sure we will have double xp aswell, but sony doesnt need to pay for dlc as we have other things to be doing like completing god of war3 and others like playing MAG with its first dlc next week. We can wait 30 days even 2months it dont make a difference. Xbox has scooped to wii standards Oh wait wii arnt even this retarded lol

1) ATVI is creating a demand for their product now... they're creating the demand for the DLC. It's smart business.
2) xbox gets it first because xbox contributes to more of ATVI's market share. plus MSFT paid for that little premium deal.
