(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); There is a way to get the M1 Garand without going to Veterans.battlefield.com

Basically you go to the You must login or register to view this content. and click my soldier>Veteran.
Then you will have to login with your EA account linked to your gamertag/PSN (Assuming you've already done so).
Then it should automatically detect Battlefield games you've played, If not you can add them manually.

This is how I got the M1 Garand while the site is down.

I saw a post on their forums where BFBC1 (360 PC and PS3) did NOT count towards veteran status.

BC1 DOES count towards veteran status. Whoever posted that does not know what they are talking about.

2 games will give you a Veteran status of 1. That is what is required to get the M1G.

Is it possible that you put in a false birth date when you created your EA account? I tend to do this on certain sites.

Well I got the Battlefield Heros to count. I still do not see where BFBC1 counts. I see where the GOLD Edition of it does though, not the normal.

Edit: It doesn't matter now. BFBC2 now counts if you use this method, combined with BF: Heros gets you your M1. I got my M1 and I have a Veteran Status of 1. As soon as the BFBC1 severs come back online *(if they ever do, I can't connect to EA on that game for some reason)*, then I'll increase my veteran status.
