There has been a string of suspensions and banning from XBL and PSN to people who have hacked to above 5th Prestige. It is believed that they are using your stats to gauge whether or not you have hacked prestiges.
You are banned when you log on and get a kill. For this reason I would advise staying off MW2 for the rest of the day as it could be an attempt to April Fool's us from Activison, Sony and Microsoft.
More info will be released when we hear more.
01:58AM GMT UPDATE: It would seem only people with RIDICULOUS stats are being banned for their amount of playtime.

My presmumption is this is a rumor that is going round as an April's Fools joke. My supporting logic: The time/labor/money costs that it takes for IW/ATVI to go through and filter the thousands to millions of accounts looking for those that don't match up to their stats is not a good use of company resources for something that doesn't impact the integrity of the game.
If you don't agree with my logic, think about it like this... for all the complaints that people have about this game... they don't get fixed. They didn't on COD4, COD5 and now MW2. The reason is that the costs are too great for the "reward" of a patched game. If they're not going to "fix the game" what makes you think they're going to look at 5 million accounts to see if the rank/score equals time played. c'mon now...
