Recent news has suggested that now that the PS3 has the new update which I believe created compatability with the future of gaming, 3D, now you may have to compromise your gaming quality and definition for the experience of 3D technology. This is reported to mainly affect the early releases such as Wipeout HD, and Motor Storm because the technology has still yet to advance and improve. An example of the "downgrade" in graphics will be in Motorstorm where even now the maximum resolution you can play is in 720 and with the 3D experience enabled it is likley to drop below that to "Sub-HD" quality.

In my opinion I am still quite skeptical of the 3D technology as I feel it could fail in many ways and not live up to certain people's expectations. I would prefer Sony kept this technology for a little longer until they were certain it was as best it could be at that time before risking releasing it too early and people become unimpressed and opossed tothe concept of 3D gaming.

What do you guys think of this?, Whats your opinion on this matter would you prefer HD Gaming at extremely high definition or would you like to move onto the 3D gaming concept as soon as possible? Give your thoughts.

From what I read about the 3d tech is that you are not going to need 3d glasses, and it should be compatible with HD tv's, but not SD tv's.

Also I heard that the new Nintendo handheld system in development is going to have a similar 3d feature that does not require the use of 3-d glasses.
