After making $2.7 billion through it's cinema release, the biggest of all time, Avatar is now breaking all the DVD and Blu-Ray sales records. 6.7 million copies were sold in 4 days, and that's just in North America. 2.7 million of those were Blu-Ray, showing the the format really is being truly embraced by the public.

First day sales were 3.2 million, beating the previous 2.7 million record held by The Dark Knight. Obviously in 2008 when The Dark Knight was released, Blu-Ray wasn't as popular format as it is proving to be now.

Sales and pre-orders have been equally impressive all over the world, including 3,409 copies stole at gunpoint in Mexico, to sell over the black market.

Avatar will be certainly making stacks of money for years to come, and certainly won't be a film you'll ever forget about for the rest of your life.
