After being delayed, delayed, and delayed even more, we may finally have a US release date for Gran Turismo 5, one of the most anticipated driving games of all time.

We've already experienced the Prologue and the demo, but the final product is certainly coming soon. The final game has been confirmed to include over 1000 cars, day / night racing, weather changes and crash collision physics. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the games, and I can't wait for it to come out. Fingers cross it doesn't get delayed, again.

You can almost certainly expect to here some more details about this year's upcoming E3 event.

Gran Turismo 5 3D support has been confirmed by Sony, and according to the titles US producer, implementing the technology was "a really tough job" for the programmers.

In a video interview with GamerLive, Taku Imasaki stated:

"Making a game into 3D means you have to divide the pictures into two and then process them seperately, so it was a lot of work for our programmers to make that happen, maintain the quality that Gran Turismo has been known for; beautiful and pushing the hardware limits, and still implementing the 3D aspect of it which is processing two pictures at the same time. That was a really tough job for our programmers, but our guys are brilliant and they're accomplishing it."

The game launches later this year - with whispers of a June/July release running around - and is expected to carry the high reputation for previous instalments to the series.

Well I saw this today and It came to me, Maybe this is why it was so delay? Maybe Sony was just waiting for the 3D to happen? This is just a thought. but that's about the only reason why I could think that this game was so delayed. But I highly doubt we will see this game as soon as June/July I think that we will see it closer to September or so.

Now in order for me to play this game in 3D would I have to have a 3D TV or will any TV work just fine? I really hope I don't have to buy a 3D TV because the prices on those are through the roof and would they give you 3D glasses with the game?
