Chief Executive Officer of Activision, Mike Griffith (shown above), resigned recently from both of his positions at the company; CEO and Activision Publishing President.

He will however, remain at Activision Blizzard, a separate branch of the company, until his 12 month contract expires. What happens after that is unknown, and he will have to discuss with his superiors whether a new contract will be signed. His annual salary will be $250,000( not including bonuses), which I'm sure he will be able to cope with :p

His resignation may be linked with other recent events at the company, including: Infinity Ward suing Activision for up to $150,000,000, as well as Infinity ward being "cut loose", but anything at this stage is purely speculation.
