<P>The Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick, has been speaking out about the development.of their upcoming sequel to MW2, Call of Duty: Black Ops. Talking about the future of the Call of Duty franchise, he said "As a preview into this exciting future, expect additional exciting content for Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops that will surprise our millions of players."</P>
<P>What this exactly entails, we're not quite sure yet, but hopefully it's something big that really will surprise fans, un-like the rather average Stimulus Package map pack.</P>
<P>He added: "This year's title, Black Ops, represents the first time that the entire 200-plus people at the Treyarch studio had been focused exclusively on one single game with teams dedicated to creating single player and co-op modes, multiplayer game play and DLC."</P>
<P>This on the other hand, is a much more exciting prospect. Atleast we can expect a well made game from every single employee at Treyarch. Don't expect them to slack on Black Ops, it certainly seems they're set to make it a truly epic game.</P>
<P>Call of Duty: Black Ops is scheduled to release on November 9.</P>

If it has a great campaign, compared to MW2's fail story telling and shorter than it takes me to tie my shoe, and has a great multiplayer that is evenly balanced, compared to MW2's multi... it's pointless even comparing a game to MW2.

If it's a game that is more than a few lines of code, it's better than MW2. 'Nuff said.

To and fro the island.
This is very enlightening. I am still a bit disappointed when I see videos of Modern Warfare 2, because I remember my anticipation for the game, come to find that it had a great deal of problems that ruined the game play experience for me. A game that I had expected to play for over a year ended up being a game I only played for a few months.

While I don't want to get too excited for this title, it does seem like Treyarch is giving this go all of their effort, which is great. I'm not sure how much effort was put into World at War, so I really can't compare this scenario to that of World at War's to see how big of a change in effort put forth is actually taking place.

I do, however, hope that Treyarch does keep their promises, and that Call of Duty: Black Ops reaffirms my liking of the Call of Duty series.

Nice post, Caspa.
