That's right people - President Barack Obama doesn't know how to work a Playstation, Xbox, or even an iPod for the matter. Speaking to some students at Hampton University, he spoke out about the distractions that technologies pose to the young generations, and the challenges the US government faces in this technological age.

"You're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank all that high on the truth meter,"

"With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation.

"All of this is not only putting new pressures on you, it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy."

Well, I'm sure Schaff is much more qualified to talk about this than I am, but to be fair, I completely agree. Technology has virtually taken over our lives, and I think it's pretty impressive that Obama doesn't know how to work any of these devices - not that anyone cares. As long as he knows how to work the United States of America, I don't really mind.

He probably played counterstrike. Oh wait...who cares, he's out of office. Obama is the one to bash now. TBH, Bush did a better job than Obama has done so far, and probably will do in the future.

Not going to argue any further.

stopped federal raids for medical marijiuana users in 14 states, bolstered the stock market back to over 11,000, bailed out the big 3 motor companies from FULL foreclosure(which would of meant a foreign dominated car market)..closed guantanamo bay and sent prisoners to appropriate places, gave unemployed workers a HUGE tax break and gave multiple extensions, gave tax breaks to small companies to increase profit which increases (trickle down economics in the mid level income bracket)...reforming healthcare which is long over due(regardless of ur opinion on this issues..he still is doing more about healthcare than any other president, with a complete over haul..of course their will be skeptics and nay sayers)..increased grant and scholarship funding from the government so its easier to go back to school for people to better themselves(which in turn..boosts the economy)..and the biggest thing of all..he stopped the 12 billion dollar a month spending for the war in iraq(wait..didnt we start in afghanistan and somehow end up in iraq fighting to stop hussein's wmd's that wasnt there?)made tighter regulations for banks and loans,AND gave people a chance to buy a house and get up to 8,000$ back(basically..10% of the home value up to 80,000$) and 5,000$ to current homeowners to purchase a new home. is taxing people who make MORE than 125,000$ a year more heavily and using that money to invest into mid to low level consumers and families.
Obama didnt get us into this mess, it was shady bankers and loan sharks that gave teaser rates and knew that a foreclosure was near inevitable, as well as G Bush and his tyranical war effort that cost over a trillion dollars..which in turn put obama against the ropes..he HAD to spend money and borrow from china(this is why so many things come from china) he bailed out the banks and car companies..and they are turning profits now and paying back a couple trillion he had to invest..it seems he isnt doing nothing after all... case and pointClapsClapsClaps...on the topic of him not knowing how to operate a ps3 or xbox isnt a bad thing..as someone stated before here..no 1 wants a president who sits on ass and plays mw2 or bf2 all day..if he did, none of the above would of happened. remember..if you didnt vote for ANY presidential nominee in the last election..then you shouldnt have an opinion on how bad things are going..

Wall of text, let's start.

~I believe that the War on Drugs was a fail. Anything that totally bans usage of a natural growing chemical is a fail. Try regulating it, prohibition doesn't work.

~The stock market would have went back up to 11k anyway, it's how it works, not because of Obama. The reason it was so low when Bush was in office was because 9/11. Don't forget that when the planes hit the WTCs, that the stockmarket crashed to below 2k (?). Bush had NO power at all to do anything about that.

~The ONLY reason the automotive industry tanked was because of the high cost for all of those union workers want "equal pay" and "added benefits". Thus adding the cost for the auto employers to hire, meaning less profit, more debt, and many other factors. "Too big to fail" is a bunch of bullsh**, the goverment had NO right to put their hands in the pockets of the private industry.

~Let's see, closed Guantanamo bay. Where did they send the prisoners? To the US. Yep, we're housing them here on our own soil now. Or released them to go back to their own kind and rejoin their ranks to fight us another day.

~Obama EXTENDED the Bush tax cuts that were already in effect.

~I won't even touch that rounchy subject called Healthcare.

~Increase grant and scholarship fund(which Bush did btw)? Now the government controls ALL of the student loans, you don't see a problem with that?

~12 billion dollar spending per month for the war in Iraq. You don't see a problem with spending 1 TRILLION dollars over 8 years for the "Healthcare reform" a problem?

~The Afghanistan war started because of September 11th, 2001. The Iraq war was a totally separate operation. We were liberating a country of a coldblooded, ruthless dictator who ruled with an iron fist. Too bad we haven't yet made a move on North Korea and Pakistan. Don't bring in that stupid "Oh Bush was fighting for oil" crap. Oil is a deteriorating substance, wouldn't it be valuable to occupy a country that has vast quantities of it? (Ironically what Iraq did to Kuwait), what goes around comes around.

~I'm not even going to reply to the rest, not enough time to finish and my head is spinning from the wall of text.

~This last election was the first time I got to vote. I voted for neither major party nominee. Both parties are very corrupt. Democrats say "come here, I want to help you" while ****ing you in the ass, and Republicans say "alright, this is how it is, we're going to **** you in the ass" while ****ing you in the ass.

"Case and point"

edit: I just wanted to give my view on the matter, don't hate me for it.

Thats good that he doesn't know how to play videogames. If he knows how to play MW2, he might fund too much money on knives and not enough for guns.

This is just hilarious..
The other day I came across this page about "WWIII" and Looks like we are in the making of Act 3...

This might be all truth or just some crazy thing like 2012 wich I don't believe in.. but hey if it happens.. I'll be in Britain

I would laugh if Obama quit his job because he bought a PS3 and got addicted to MW2.

To and fro the island.
I apologize for having to interrupt discussion, but if you're going to post in this thread, keep this in mind:

This is a thread discussing the fact that Obama stated he did not know how to use some of the modern day technology we all know and love in modern day.

This is not a discussion about Barack Obama's presidency, or anything else of that sort.
