Play.com, has recently announced that a pre-order of the game from their site will give players access to the Medal of Honor Beta, which will last 12 days, starting on July 5th 2010. It's still unknown whether this is a Play.com exclusive, or includes preorders from any site. The exact details of what the Beta includes are also unknown, but it'll almost certainly be the multiplayer aspect of the game.

"Pre-ordering Medal Of Honor from Play.com will give fans the opportunity to join the Medal Of Honor multiplayer BETA when it goes live on July 5th 2010. The BETA will take place between July 5th and July 17th - access codes will be emailed on July 5th. All pre-orders through Play.com will entitle customers to an access code. BETA access details are subject to change at any time."

The information has recently been removed from Play.com, either because it wasn't meant to have been released quite yet, or the details are wrong, despite how legitimate they look. For those who have lost faith completely in the Call of Duty series, Medal of Honor is certainly looking like a hot prospect to succeed where Modern Warfare 2 and Infinity Ward failed. [/COLOR]

I probably won't pre-order it, so no beta for me. :( At least I can watch some gameplay videos on youtube and see how good it is.

Why? Have the previous Medal of Honor games had hackers? I never played one for the 360/PS3.

I figure if they move to another game it would be Black Ops? So I think MoH would be safe for a while. Smile

To and fro the island.
It's good that they are giving incentives for a Beta, at least. This ensures that the players of the Beta are actually into the Medal of Honor series, and are not just playing the Beta because they have nothing better to do. I really hope this game is successful. Not because I hate the Call of Duty series, because I don't, but because it seems Call of Duty has basically taken over the FPS genre. I love Call of Duty and all, but I'd like to see another series rise from the barren wasteland that was created when Call of Duty 4 was released.

Thanks for the news, Caspa. Hopefully it was removed due to a pre-mature release, as opposed to being incorrect.
