How much you know about computers has everything to do with the issues you'll encounter.
If you
know your hardware's limits, and you
know what you shouldn't do on your computer, you'll never buy a game only to learn that it'll crash your setup.
I definitely
know that I cannot run new games on this laptop, and not because I've tried to, because I
know my hardware's limitations. And to
know your hardware's limits, you need to
know how computers in general work. And
knowing means
knowledge.

I have more reasoning to back what I'm saying, btw. I just dunno how to word it without making my head hurt. (As in thinking extremely outside the box, ahead of myself, etc.) It's very abstract.
If you set someone down who's not good with computers (a person who doesn't know the different hardware, etc.) in front of two same-looking computers, one which can play games, and one which can't, and he plays a game you hand him on the one that can, don't you think he'd expect the other too be able to, too? Probably.
It's common sense that not all computers will be able to run all games, and if you're a decent computer user, you'll understand that BEFOREHAND, and not run into those problems.
