I’m sure everyone hated going into a free-for-all game or any game mode to find two noobs hiding and boosting online. When the Tactical insertion was revealed to make a comeback in Black Ops I’m sure most of the players that dislike the tactical insertion automatically changed their views of the game.

Well not to worry, Treyarch’s Design Director, David “Vahn” Vonderhaar, told the community from a post on their forum that the team has plans to combat the exploitation of the insertion, both for pre and post launch.

Hello,

We love Tac Insert. It does a few things for the game strategy. A well organized team of Tac Insert user can roll the competition in Demo. It's grand, really, and how it should be. Counter by organizing your own team of Tac Insert users and roll with Hacker.

It also solves a problem. A lot of you are super convinced you can make a better spawn system than we can. That's cool. So, here you go. Here is Tac Insert. Pick your own spawn point and stop yelling at me.

Trying to use Tac Insert but are getting Tac Insert spawned camped? Well, you probably deserve that but you can now cancel your own Tac Insert in the Killcam. That's new to Black Ops.

The main reason I am not as worried about Tac Insert as you? We can disable it. And, I just did for Free-For-All (hardcore and core) variants. It will still work in Private Matches in Free for All, but then you don't get XP in Private Matches so it can't be used for boosting.

The game has a reporting system. Report boosters and let's make examples of them. Once you lay the ban hammer on enough bad people word will get around that we don't take too kindly to this sort of thing.

I hope the report system doesn't function in private match

Well yay for the Tac Insert disable....but the reporting thing is gonna by abused for ragers and small ones :P

Boosting is gay and I hate it cause I dont want to join a game and we got this one dude 25-0 and the other 0-25 or something like that. And I play a game I get cheated out of...its not fair to the community and players.

So I say thank you Treyarch

Solution to all of Cods problems, cage match. Bring it back, leave Tac Insert for those who use it properly and rid ourselves of boosters once and for all. Taking that away in Mw2 was just plain stupid.

And for those that want to still do it in Ground War and FFA, the tracking device is a solution.

If they want to boost, more power to them, they can cheat at the game on their own time in their own lobby, don't start up some report system that is only going to cause problems over and over again.

Stupid really, there is going to be a way around this somehow so I don't see why they make smaller lobby solutions to rid of them in bigger lobbies.

well seeing as there is a option to record your gameplay, perhalps if you get evidence from that then send it to treyarch via rep system, there will be evidence.

Duh!
