There have been many complaints of compatibility issues following the 3.50 update, which have been posted on the Official PlayStation forums. If you're still experiencing problems I'd advise that you contact MadCatz.

I doubt it. It just means that they will work because they have not disabled the usb completely. Just the way that it boots from usb by pressing eject. The jailbreak will need custom firmware to ever be able to work on anything other than 3.41
