Call of Duty: Black Ops, the most recent installment to one of the most popular first-person shooter series around the world, has received various of updates within its first month of release.

The game's developer, Treyarch, is seemingly doing what they can to listen to the majority of the gaming community. Additionally, the developer is attempting to crack down on the hackers and glitchers of the world, and have been successful in curbing it to an extent.

A recent report tells us that another update is inbound, and we can expect the following changes:

- Sniping Improvement: The update is intended to fix sniper rifles in Black Ops, but "quickscoping will never be like previous CoD's", said Games Design Director David Vonderhaar.

- Knifing Improvement: In result of demand from the Black Ops community, lunge knifing will be shortened slightly.

- Hardline Pro Improvement: The ability to change your care package will remain. However, you will not be able to change your Sentry Drop of Sam Turret.

- (Possible) AK-74u Improvement: Will now take an extra bullet to kill, and will have a wider hip fire spread.

When new information / confirmation surfaces, this thread will either be updated, or another thread will be made.

I hope they do fix the AK47-u then i might actually find someone using a different gun altogether. all i see is people using that and the Famas, such cheap ass weapons. Use a harder weapon to use like the Uzi or MAC11 Smile
Also the sniper improvement might actually mean the snipers have some sort of use in the game finally, maybe they mean New maps that are purely for sniping or give the snipers better attachements than they have currently. or just generally make them a little better so they can actually be used by legit non quickscopers.

damn why do they keep nerfing the ak74, this is going to be the second time. but with the snipers i hope they get fixed cause what i hate is when im even SLIGHTLY moving while my crosshairs are aimed at an enemy, the shot always misses.

Nah, the first ak74 "nerf" was a rumor. It never went into a patch. This is the first and probably only time they'll patch it.

IMO it needs it. It is this game's UMP. People need to learn to pick up a new gun. If you rely so heavily on one gun out of >40 then i'm sorry, but you are terrible.
