Although Sony is focusing on 2011 & the newest titles having 3D gaming, LittleBigPlanet 2 will not be one of them. Mark Valledor, Sony Computer Entertainment America marketing leader, announced this recently, saying simply "Sorry, no 3D this time around."

Sony is working on over 50 3D compatible games, including 20 internal 'projects'.

Sony’s current 3D arsenal includes games such as Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Gran Turismo 5, Tron Evolution, Crysis 2, and more.

Many companies are contacting Sony to confirm why exactly LBP2 isn't apart of the new 3D obsession. It's one of the most anticipated games for all ages, so there's only one question for Sony; why not?

It was never promised to be in 3D so its not really a big deal...

Well I guess LPB not having 3D isn't rly too big of a problem, it woulda been nice to spice it up, but most people dont have 3D right now anyways and the ppl that do are probably upset that you cant just play all games in 3D lol. Realistically, it's a side scroller (more or less), so 3D isn't rly a high-priority thing when it would mean delaying the game for months

They hyped it up so much for 3D...

This game looks amazing anyhow.

It wasnt promised, but it was so hyped up to be in 3d, when they would show 3D game demonstrations, they would show LBP alot
