We've all been blown away by the price tag attached to the Thrustmaster wheel for Gran Turismo 5. A month before its official launch, we now have more specific details about the features in it.
One of the things that you should be looking forward to would be the 1080° rotation capabilities of the wheel. The gearshift levers, the wheel's central spokes section (30cm in diameter) and the pedal set are all metal, with the wheel itself weighing in at 4.6kg, while the pedal set is at 7.3kg. Darned right it's gonna be heavy.

credits to MR. 4:20 for the picture :y: As for the rest of the features:
Magnetic sensor-based H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) incorporated in the wheel's steering mechanicism.
16-bit resolution and 65536 values on steering axis
fully-adjustable space and height pedal, capable of two mounting positions: floor-mounted F1 style or suspended GT style
Textured, metal foot rest
"Vigorous, fast-acting and extremely responsive" Force Feedback mechanism
Independent Gear stick to be available in the coming months
Said Yamauchi, "The goal that I set for the Thrustmaster team was to design for me the most precise wheel ever developed, without any latency – to accurately reproduce the sensations of GT5, and let users truly feel the emotions experienced by drivers on real racing circuits."
The Thrustmaster comes out on January 5th for both Europe and North America, while Japan will get it on January 25th.

On topic: This thing isn't wort the money at all. I see a clutch pedal, but no gearbox..WTF? G25/27 > Thustmaster.
This is the ultimate wheel. You must login or register to view this content.
I realy can't see why you would buy this over a G25/G27 at that price especially when you consider there is no shifter, it's not like GT5 supports a shifter for the G25/G27 but hopefully that will be patched..
