Call of Duty Getting A 'Second Tier' Of Online Multiplayer?
Actvision is thinking of new ways to make money from their first person shooter juggernaut, Black Ops. A new report is in that a new way to play Call of Duty online is on the way.

If these reports are true then Activision's March 2010 plans might finally be happening. They want to deliver that "high-margin digital online content and further the brand as the leading action entertainment franchise in new geographies, new genres and with new digital business models."
Lets see how this falls out.

Activision has stated numerous times that they will NEVER make Call of Duty Pay to Play Online or anything else.

I definitely think there shud be a separate game type where GB and MLG rules are put in place for those who want to play GB's on the daily. it be great and also easier to play GB matches with this game type in private matches.:mudkip:

Glitchplz, MMO's are games that run thousands of people on 1 server. Each new CoD game, as I beleive on PC, can run up to 16 people. MAG is the closest shooter on console to be MMO.
If they do make CoD Pay to Play, I doubt they'd make money, and maybe will even lose money from all the kids who just try to ruin the fun on games like this. People will stop playing, and Activision = No Profit.
GB, Which in fact is an MLG Site. MLG has next to no relation to PS3.

This GB idea would be a good one though. In a way like barebones only stripping you down to weapons and banning weapons the other use cheaply in pubs.
