The highly anticipated wait is over. Geohot has finally released his jailbreak. Check it out here:
He states that old homebrew will not work
new homebrew signing tools coming soon.

When you say "Make a FILE named PS3" im pretty sure you mean FOLDER as well as a FOLDER named UPDATE within the PS3 FOLDER. I gottcha just some ppl who are noobs with pcs and wanna try this might understand that a bit better no offense to be taken just thought it might confuse some ppl a little less computer literate... Other than though thanks much for the info appreciate it ill probably get a second ps3 to try this when I get a bita cash I want one legit with OFW one not with CFW.

Has anyone heard an announcement regarding what Sony plans to do this time? Im certain there will be an inevitable update but from my understanding with the proper keys now they can't do much. Does anyone think it would make a difference to do this on another hdd in terms of safety I mean with a new psn? I happen to have a spare drive just thought I would ask. Im fairly familiar with JBs on other devices but haven't yet done a console any places I could search some info would be helpful im not new to hacking but am new to hacking consoles so if someone could pm a couple reference sites I'd appreciate thanks.

I am 100% sure that mostly everyone uses this method for challenge lobbies and not pirating games, but now no one will play legit.

Its a CFW but the only thing different you'll see is that Install Package Files will be available in Game, which lets you use programs like FTP Server and File Manager
